Traces are fast becoming one of the most talked about new Black Metal acts in the UK. Since their formation in early 2007, they gained a huge buzz on Myspace with their song 'Vivisection' and their tight, explosive live show.
The word spread fast...finally, an act from the UK who are able to more than hold up to the standard set by their influences. Combining familiar BM influences with a neo classical, keyboard driven twist, and a strong balance of melody and brutality.
With the addition of new vocalist Phil Wilson (ex-The Rotted), and new 2nd guitarist Myk Barber, Traces are stronger than ever. Unleashing their new EP 'Reflections of a Forlorn Sun' Traces are ready to take everything that is rightfully theirs.
Mix the bombastic symphonics of Dimmu Borgir with the devilish folk tinged sounds of Wintersun, add a dash of 'Prometheus' era Emperor, and you're somewhere close to defining the sound Traces are about to make their trademark.
