Betraeus are a four piece progressive death metal band from Manchester, UK. Forming in 2009, the band have a distinctive sound which treads a fine line between Atmospheric, Progressive & Death Metal genres.
In just two years they have gone from a local phenomena to one of the UK’s most exciting underground bands.
In 2010 Betraeus successfully made their way to play the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air with the likes Opeth, Children Of Bodom, Devin Townsend and more. In addition to playing the New Blood stage they also played an intricate acoustic set on the Jagermeister stage further showcasing the complexity and diversity of their music. Following this was a mind blowing performance at The Pepsi Max stage at Download Festival this year.
Scheduled for a November release across all digital platforms, 'Towards The Sun' is an absolute must have for fans of Opeth, Death, Cynic, Bloodbath and Insomnium, and features two live tracks from their performance at Bloodstock Festival.

Mancunian progressive death metallers Betraeus announce release party and full UK tour to support their incredible debut EP, 'Towards The Sun', out on 14 November viaSiege of Amida Records.
The EP coincides with the band's much anticipated video to the title track, and to further wet appetites they have released some insightful behind the scenes footage.
